My Story
My Story
My name is Melissa, and I am the creator of the Swing Thing. I came up with the idea of the Swing Thing when my girls were just babies and they wanted to sit the bucket swing so badly, however there was just so much extra space, and they weren’t able to stabilize themselves. As a solution I started packing several extra blankets just to secure my girls inside the swing. I thought to myself over and over: “there has got to be a better way.” After doing some research, I realized there was nothing to solve my problem, so I decided to come up with something myself. With that in mind, armed with the help and moral support of my best friend and mother, Debra, we started thinking seriously about my idea becoming our invention. Unfortunately, in July of 2014, a terrible accident occurred, and my mom was taken from me. After this loss I was so shaken that it felt like I couldn’t move or breath, and with two little girls that still needed me, the Swing Thing was the last thing on my mind. I thought my dream had ended there, but it didn’t. One year later, I felt an overwhelming drive to move forward and create what my mom and I had envisioned together. So with my strength from God, and support of my family, I did just that. So this is how the story of Swing Thing began, and I can’t be more excited to see where it goes from here. My hope is that parents and babies everywhere will love this product, and that the Swing Thing will make your little one happy while making your life easier in the process.
Thank you for checking us out, from our family to yours, it means a lot,
Melissa Beaupre
How It Works
How It Works
1. Undo the elastics. 2. Place the Swing Thing™ into the front of the bucket swing with the logo facing outward. 3. Fasten each of the front Velcro straps, making sure they meet at the outer front of the swing. 4. Place your child into the swing with their stomach pressed against the cushioning. 5. Secure your child using the large Velcro back strap so that they are snug. Ensure that you have pressed it together for maximum comfort and security.
1. Undo the Velcro back strap. 2. Slide the child to the back of the swing (or take them out of the swing). 3. Undo the front fastened Velcro straps from the front of the swing. 4. Fold the small fastening straps on to one another (non logo side). 5. Starting from the shorter back strap end, roll tightly over the already folded fastening straps. 6. Finish by wrapping the longer back strap around the outside, and secure with the elastics.
